Love your list of villans here

All could be the villains but I prefer to chalk this Olympics up to a small but powerful group of elites who think woke is cool and have no contact with anyone outside their bubble to tell them otherwise. You can see it from the reactions/explanations given about the opening ‘ceremonies’ not being about disrespecting religion in any way. You can see it from the absurd spectacle of male boxers pummeling females and getting vague double talk about why. You can see it from the explanations about the accommodations being provided that have the telltale ‘green’ justification for being crap.

There is a group of people that either due to peer pressure, fear of not being part of the cool group, profit concerns if they don’t spew the company line or just clueless about the rest of the population not supporting this, they think all is well until they get Budlighted and then act surprised when it happens.

And it's all so abhorrently transparent that I'm thinking it might blow up in their faces.

Good perspective, it's too artsy, and typical French posturing. The relationships between America and France had always been interesting throughout post colonial history of America. Subsequently pitting the French as not Kool.

Maybe this had to do with Napoleon's actual reputation notwithstanding historical recollection.

Kinda like the international space station scenario.

The regular Joe's that inhabit this globe are puzzled by the visual aspects of unity whilst being told to distrust Russia.

The Olympics are similar perspectives to their reality. So, if we're all supposed to forget the political perspectives when tradition is on display, why not just be that way, in between, and forever?

World Peace!

One God one people one planet one love.

One World Government - can kiss my white American ass.

I like what you said right here!

That's absolutely true. People ask me that all the time!

Why are we supposedly at war [by proxy -- for now] with Russia, but we still work with them in the ISS and on various space missions? 🤔

Answer: Because politics is a theater, the world stage, that's all you need to know that people are being lied to and manipulated. Everyone is an enemy, except when they're not.

Political theater; but who is writing that screenplay. Even if Stephen Spielberg directed the ISS scenario, the plot doesn't make sense. lol

Thanks for the complittment!

So I guess you said every story needs a hero.

And I would imagine that it's about time for a new editor.

Of course!

They were designed as an exercise in Global Gaslighting.

Oh you forgot actual worms in the fish being served the British athletes. They flew in their own chef and he said the only protein being served was actually crawling in worms. Oh maybe they thought that was eco friendly extra protein 🥲

Makes me glad I didn’t watch a single second of the whole farce. I assume it’s over now.

Indeed. I don't think it's going to work out the way they think it will.

Totally loved yer take on this Alex! Poifect bringin' in The Producers--yes, eggzactly!

Agree that it wuz a full out intentionally unmitigated disaster, all planned from the start, an' natch--Jolly wuz just a poor schlub patsy. Had the late Alan Carr been alive I would'a hired him--he had a knack fer tasteless trash but FAR funnier (if not "jolly" lol)--but Carr was only half-conscious about his campiness--it's the sincere part that's the MOST wincey--which would'a suited team Xanadu/XanaDon't! just fine!-- Dear Mel would of course never have dunnit fer the Olympics--too respectful a guy--this not bein' an intended forum fer comedy!-- BUT I'd LOVE ta see him do his own cinematic take 'er mebbe a spoof of Triumph of Za Vill... if he's still got the knack? (he's ooooold)

Anyway, thanks fer this great "take"--pair it with my 2nd deep dive inta the Olympic con job (faked performances AND masonic goodies) -- here:
