Haven’t watched it yet, will a little later when the wife and kids are out, but some did take it seriously. I remember being warned about what awaited us. I have long been against much of the new tech but never really thought it could ever work as an omnipresent big brother type thing. Never thought they could make ownership of expensive electronic devices mandatory in any way.
Much of this has already come to pass. Failing at the forcing a national ID card upon us, the federal government forced states to issue drivers licenses and ID cards that conformed with federal “guidelines” that in effect turn State issued ID cards and DLs into federal ID cards. It has already been years ago when those from States that did not conform to the federal guidelines were denied access to federal office buildings, even if employed there.
Now, instead of a magnetic strip on a card tracking our entry and exit of certain buildings, we carry various electronic devices that are trackable, and thus are tracked, with us allowing for 24/7 real time surveillance.
Emoney of various types are now common in even cash based Japan, accessible from these same devices. Some places are now even offering microchipping and people are happy to get these inserted for the convenience. We are conveniencing ourselves into a digital prison.
As this video was meant to be humorous, and if I saw it back when it was made, I most likely would have found it funny, I think this can be covered by my recent, oft repeated wish, Make Monty Python fictional humor again.
Yes, exactly. And, just as predicted, we have seen (e.g., during the Freedom Convoy in Canada), how electronic banking systems can be used to isolate and punish dissenters. The physical card was just the first step (which was more or less my point, back in 1999). The ultimate objective is to incorporate every human being into a centralized system of control - an objective which, for the most part, has been accomplished.
My suspicion is that many of the onerous aspects of "digital life" - the time-wasting dual-factor authentication requirements, the maddening "Captcha" puzzles - are designed to be unpleasant, in order to create demand for biometric authentication. Just like the "Easy Access" card of my youth, using biometrics promises convenience while further strengthening systems of control that do not serve our interests.
Great point on the tiresome logging in procedures, which are getting worse. I have been wanting to post on this; recently I have to re log in to substack every time I want to Like or reply on at least certain stacks.
Also, the banking issue has been warned about for a decade by those of us Americans living abroad as we have been experiencing this for at least 10 years. Our warnings have been ignored and those we tried to warn hurled insults at us.
also the maddenin' "captchas" are groomin' us to comply with absurd steps, carrot / access at the end of the stick... but meantime, forcin' ya to patiently comply--all the steps are like the absurd covidian "protocols" -- step on the circle--one giant step (Twister!) to the next one an' you kin pay for yer groceries--
I have friends grew up in the USSR waitin' in line for "something" an' they didn't even know what for--you'd hear "there's something that just came in" and you'd spend hours in line... And at the end--it might not even be something good but the lure was in place, folks complied... so there's that piece too... groomin' us for biometic absurdity too!
I remember dismissing the "New World Order" as a paranoid conspiracy theory, and preferring to write it off as a mere coincidence when that exact phrase was offered by George H. Bush in his Oval Office "kinder and gentler" speech. As a conservative, I viewed him as on my side, which is to say, a champion of liberty and justice for all. SMH.
So I find this video to be "funny" in the same way that Babylon Bee headlines are funny. It's just that these days the timeline from head-shaking chuckle to head-shaking concern has reduced from a couple decades to a couple weeks. Truth is indeed stranger than fiction.
Shucks, this gave me a big ol' grin--first cuz it's totally "on the nose" (like a well-placed bet, meanin' "right on!" bingo!) -- an' all ya knew / predicted is fairly amazin'--nothing ta disagree with myself even hearin' this 25 years later with the advantage of hindsite! True stuff! even if you were qvestionin' yerself because it WAS so completely dystopian--but still, ya dared peek inta that abyss an' most of it if not all--ya got keerect. (THAT is impressive!... and a mite creepy too!) Of course we now know there's a lot more to it--weather mods / DEWs/ Haarp, medi-cull procedures / mandates, the 13 behind even them higher-up Masons--an' yet BRAVO! Not so many were talkin' bout it then!
And / also... that 2nd grin cuz, well, it's SO "on the nose" in terms of story tellin' -- actors recitin' exposition, all told-not-shown (yup, I know that ta make it cinematic or add "subtext" of course ya would've needed more time, more sets!, flash backs 'tween the talkin' heads---so I totally git it but it still makes me grin a bit--hope ya don't mind--I think every writer/director--playwrights too! kin fall inta these habits...). YET even bein' "on the nose," it's SO earnestly done -- it felt as much--that it's yet charmin'!
Reminds me of those throwback instructional shorts or industrials --many from the 50's--where the young acolyte is gettin' "instructed" by the father / father figure -- usually it'd be in somethin' like "avoiding drugs" or "bein' aware of Communists" or "welcomin' the new kid on the block,".... they take a walk, or sit down (like yer actors do) for a "talk"--So ya kinda mimic the classic style but turn that content on its head with the "lesson" warnin' against the most crypto-whackdoodles NWO type scenario! That's what is so endearing about it--the "sound advice" is absolutely insane!
While the set up is so very Wally & the Beave' (Gee Wally, I didn't know that! Gorsh, if ya hadn't told me I might've listened to...)--an' that's yer "acolyte!" with yer own stand in bein' the Wally character--natch--an' yup, it's fairly obvious ;-)
I had no such well-structured sense of all the powers-that-be alignin' malevolently for the NWO 25 years ago but I knew there were puppet masters pullin' strings (not all beneficent!) and I was--since high school--completely fascinated with The Masons (an' Odd Fellows too!)-- Of them I knew much an' couldn't git enuf--I collected all manner of antique Masonic gewgaws (loved the graphics, the symbolism, the carvings, the aprons etc). 26th Street "Flea" had more cool masonic detritus, not spendy at all back then, than the East River has dead fish! I also sucked up their books like they were Gem Spa Egg Creams! (includin' some of the exposes of The Craft--from those who "dared" let us peek inta those rituals--or so we were "led" to believe). Interesting' you were similarly curious... tho' with the bigger picture far clearer!
I think what got me goin' was that Betty Boop 'toon--"Wanna Be a Member?"--cuz since goils weren't allowed I HAD to know all 'bout it... had ta know about "the club!" their "secrets!" Now I think I know too much! Likely you too! Sometimes ya peek down an' don't see the bottom and assume it's not that deep!
DO SHARE MORE of yer work Alex, this was really fun ta watch!
(ps I used ta like the X files too--but they always came off as "spooky"--as in the alphabets were involved too!)
Great video Alex - you were well ahead of the curve!

Well done and prescient indeed.
